If you haven’t heard this band yet, you are in for a treat!
Tito Wilson, drummer and vocalist has been playing and singing since the age of 13. He and Johnny Marshall, Guitarist and vocalist, met as teens and have been playing in bands on and off since then. “He’s like my brother and is a beautiful melodic guitar player with great taste”, says Tito. Musically, he knows where I’m going and vice versa.
They started this band about 14 years ago with Arty Walker, bass player and vocalist. “We sang some really good harmonies together and share musical taste” says Tito. “He’s a talented artist and musician and all around performer!”
They brought in Chris Burke, keyboard and vocalist who they met through open jams at Lucy’s in Westchester. He teaches and plays in various Westchester bands. “He is an amazing keyboardist and vocalist who locked it in for us!” says Tito.
These are the core of the band members – they work with other musicians depending on the gig. Since the beginning, they have had a family vibe within the band which is a big part of their success.
The music is mostly classic rock with an influence of reggae and R&B. “We try to go for music that people love to dance to.” Says Tito “For the classic rock, we like the obscure stuff. So when people hear our songs, they sound familiar, but it’s not the typical top 10 hits – not the same ole stuff. One example of this is “Little Guitars” by Van Halen.”
When asked what he loves most of the music, Tito says “I don’t know. It’s just a drive”. It’s this energy I have that I have to burn off. He gets embarrassed when people give compliments but he loves when people enjoy the music. “We have good harmonies that drive the vibe,”
